Job Description

The Claims Representative is the first point of contact for customer introductions to the Claims department. The claims representative works closely with Claims Agents, handling all administrative tasks for Damage and Liability claims.

Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Hybrid work based out of Bellevue.
  • Sets up new liability claims.
  • Responds to customer inquiries via phone and/or email.
  • Prepares billing statements to damagers.
  • Sets up payment installment plans.
  • Generates and maintains follow-up work queue for payment reminder notices.
  • Prepares Promissory Notes and Confession of Judgments
  • Prepares cost breakdown and billing detail documentation and follow-up information as needed
  • Assists and supports other Claims Representatives with training new and existing team members
  • Assists and supports department as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • At least 1 year experience in customer service and/or claims.
  • Working knowledge of claims billing, collections and payment process.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft tools such as Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable and perform well in a fast paced, team environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous insurance and/or claims experience.
  • Associate's Degree.
  • Utility experience a plus.

The pay range for this position is$51,400.00-$79,800.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
