This position Demonstrates a more comprehensive knowledge of surveys and field operations. Duties include but are not limited to independent judgment, communication, and supervisory abilities. This position is well versed in the day-to-day operational functions of a field and/or office survey organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of, and familiarity with, client contacts, dealing with the public and governmental agencies, field crew management, scheduling, equipment, and supplies management.




  1. Performs basic budgeting and cost control techniques.




  1. Trains personnel in all aspects of field and/or office surveying practices.




  1. Coordinates and supervises field work including staking and stake marking for a variety of standard types of surveys.




  1. Maintains general familiarity with local and state land use regulations as they relate to lot site developments.




  1. Manages and coordinates projects for one or more CEI clients. Duties may include coordinating, permitting, budget, and client relationship management by performing duties personally or through subordinate managers.




  1. Verifies the accuracy of data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites. Ensures the preparation of accurate, compete, and value-added work products and performs complex survey computations.




  1. Writes descriptions of property boundary survey for use in deeds, leases, and other legal documents. Analyzes and writes legal descriptions. Interprets design plans for construction staking calculations.




  1. Communicates with Survey Party Chief about scheduling or projects and provides direction to field crews regarding project scopes.




  1. Participates in a manner that minimizes competition between peers or business units of the company, of which results in decisions that are best for the company, its clients, and its employees as a whole.




  1. Accurately analyzes and administers assigned departmental and operating accounts, including critically reviewing budgetary data, verifying figures, developing budget proposals, recommending allocation of dollars to programs, service or departments, and studying all factors in order to determine a financial solution or outcome.




  1. Develops, prepares, administers, oversees, and controls multi-project budgets.




  1. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 19 to 23 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
