Marcus by Goldman Sachs

The firm's direct-to-consumer business, Marcus by Goldman Sachs, combines the entrepreneurial spirit of a start-up with more than 150 years of experience. Today, we serve millions of customers across multiple products, leveraging innovative design, data, engineering and other core capabilities to provide customers with powerful tools and products that are grounded in value, transparency and simplicity.

Responsibilities:



  • Understand basic banking with an emphasis on cash flows of money movement processes: incoming/outgoing wires, outgoing ACH, outgoing checks, internal transfers, and suspense breaks
  • Must be comfortable interacting with multiple firmwide stakeholders at different levels such as Risk, Compliance, Legal, Treasury and Technology
  • Ensure assigned case work, queues, and reports are completed within the specified Service Levels
  • Assist in identifying areas of improvements and work with stakeholders to execute those changes
  • Escalate issues timely, and comfortable speaking to upper management on tasks, processes, and areas of improvement


Basic Qualifications:



  • Operations, or customer service experience
  • Understanding of basic banking, check payments, wires and ACH
  • Strong analytical skills, and problem solving ability with a risk and control mentality
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and able to prioritize competing tasks
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment with occasional overtime


Preferred Qualifications:



  • High School degree, Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience
  • Prior experience in banking, payment, wire, or cash movement in an operational or banking environment
  • Proficiency with MS Suite
