  • Position: Charge Entry Rep III
  • Hourly Pay Range: $19.31 - $28.00. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Location: EEH/LOH Corp Center- Warrenville, IL
  • Full Time
  • Hours: M-F 7:00am-3:30pm

A Brief Overview:
Administers the charge capture and review process for all behavioral health facilities within Endeavor Health System. Ensures that all billing charges are captured in an appropriate and timely manner. Identifies, analyzes and reconciles billing errors or omissions. Reviews patient account records and third-party payer issues.

What you will do:

  • Utilizes ICD, CPT/HCPCS and related materials to investigate charge capture issues.
  • Ensures efficiency of processes through regular communication leadership.
  • Monitors services performed to assure all encounters are capture within established timeframes.
  • Compiles monthly statistical reports on data related to utilization of business needs.
  • Identifies trends in utilization review data and escalates information.
  • Participates in meetings and/or seminars and disseminates the information to peers to enhance the knowledge and skills of the department.
  • Keeps well-informed of current changes in charge capture and reimbursement requirements for government programs and other third-party payers
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information in all situations.

What you will need:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • A minimum of one year of charge entry experience or a minimum of one year physician office experience in mental health coding
  • Knowledge of billing compliance rules
  • Knowledge of diagnostic and procedural terminology, ICD, and CPT/HCPCS coding systems
  • Knowledge of Epic, MS Office, BH Coding
