Position Highlights:

  • Position: Clinical Pharmacist
  • Hourly Pay Range: $54.83 - $89.90. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $58.00 base pay hourly rate beginning with May 2025 paychecks.
  • Location: Arlington Heights, Salt Creek Infusion Center (primary)- rotating sites may be required (on occasion)
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, rotating shifts 7:00am - 6:00pm with rotating weekends
  • Required Travel: Yes. Must be willing to rotate to other Endeavor Health Infusion center sites as needed

What you will need:

  • License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist
  • Education: BS or PharmD (preferred) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Certification: Board certification in oncology training or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a clinical registered pharmacist, Experience working in infusion centers is highly preferred (excluding externships as a pharmacy student)

What you will do:

Patient Care:

  • Provide and document comprehensive pharmaceutical care to infusion patients with various disease states within the realm of rheumatology, neurology, dermatology, cancer and other conditions related to cancer
  • Provide and document medication education and symptom management to oncology patients and caregivers
  • Review and process infusion orders, including chemotherapy and supportive care orders plans for clinical appropriateness
  • Prepare and dispense infusion medications, anti-cancer and supportive care medications for oncology patients following best practices and the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Design or update chemotherapy plans, supportive care regimens and monitoring plans (care plans) for oncology patients
  • Design effective educational materials for patients on chemotherapy
  • Provide infusion reaction management to infusion patients

Teaching/Education:

  • Provide consultative services to other health care professionals on drug therapy and monitoring
  • Provide medication education to pharmacists and other health care professionals
  • Precept learners (PGY2 oncology resident, PGY1 residents, and students) who are on rotation with the team

Performance Improvement:

  • Review protocols within the EHR for clinical appropriateness based on current guideline recommendations
  • Coordinate and/or collaborate with other health care professionals to carry out quality improvement projects and develop institutional best practices
