Venue Sourcing Consultant

About the role:

As a Venue Sourcing Consultant, you will be responsible for sourcing suitable venues for our corporate clients' meetings and events, ensuring that their expectations are exceeded through high-quality and professional service.You will manage the entire inquiry process, from understanding client requirements to negotiating contracts and finalizing bookings.

As a Venue Sourcing Consultant you will:



  • Understand client service level agreements and contractual requirements
  • Manage all incoming inquiries and emails
  • Conduct thorough research to identify suitable venues
  • Create and submit Requests for Proposals (RFP) using Cvent and other platforms
  • Negotiate rates and terms with venues
  • Organize and attend site visits as needed
  • Maintain data integrity and track savings in Empower
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key industry contacts and clients



You're good at:



  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Negotiating effectively to maximize savings and additional value for clients
  • Demonstrating exceptional organization and attention to detail
  • Working collaboratively within a team while embracing change productively
  • Performing under pressure and meeting deadlines without compromising quality



You might also have:



  • Two to three years' industry experience, particularly in international sourcing and contracting
  • Experience utilizing the Cvent e-RFP Tool and Supplier Network
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • A positive outlook, professionalism, and strong communication skills
  • A proactive approach to minimizing financial exposure for the company



You should know:



  • This role requires sourcing experience in the corporate meetings & events industry
  • This role is virtual
  • This role operates on Eastern Standard Time or Central Standard Time, with an hour lunch break
  • The position may involve attending client meetings and events outside standard hours as necessary

    • Up to 25% travel is requried for this role

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Venue Sourcing Consultant is between $58,000 - $70,000 The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
