We are seeking a Supervisor Projects & Pipeline to join our team in Houston Texas.

In this role you will lead a team responsible for managing the capital budget projects for the Offshore and Joint Venture Region. You will also lead the Team in the review and development of technical solutions for the Region pipeline assets. Your team will be responsible for coordination of project scope development, and execution of the projects. You will engage with the Region's asset Joint Venture partners, customers, and various departments within our Gas Transmission business.

What You Will Do
  • Provide leadership to direct reports on project execution processes, improvement initiatives or creation of processes; including but not limited to project scope development, cost estimates, design, contractor selection, procurement, inspection, construction, and commissioning activities.

  • Lead the staff in the review of assets from an engineering perspective to identify and develop capital and operating budgets to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.

  • Manage the staff's on-going technical support to Field Operations including analyzing a broad variety of technical issues, requiring the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

  • Responsible to have a lead role on the Region's Incident Management Team during emergency response to onshore and offshore operational emergency situations. This will include supporting planning and reporting related to hurricane preparedness and post event inspections.

  • Manage the annual capital budget and the long range plan budget for the Region, by working closely with the Asset Investment Planning & Management teams and Area Analysts.

  • Responsible for the performance management and career development of staff including, coaching, mentoring, and motivating staff in the fulfillment of responsibilities.

  • Supports Compliance Department with PHMSA audit preparation and represents Region during inspections.

  • Work closely with other teams across the business, such as Operational Risk and Asset Management to ensure the region's priorities are communicated effectively.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical, civil, or electrical.

  • 10+ years of engineering and/or project management experience related to the pipeline industry.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and other common business software.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes and initiatives among shifting priorities.

  • A collaborative team and service-oriented work style with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Committed to continuous learning and personal development.

Working Conditions:
  • Position is primarily office based, with up to 20% travel for projects and operations field visits.

  • Must be able to travel by vehicle, airplane, helicopter, and occasional marine vessel.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, prioritize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, coordinate and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
