As a Regional Simulation Center Technical Specialist, you'll play a vital role in delivering cutting-edge simulation-based education. You'll collaborate with the Regional Simulation Center team to design, prepare, train, operate, and support immersive learning experiences that enhance medical training. In this role, you'll also take the lead in managing and optimizing our advanced simulation equipment, ensuring seamless operations that drive innovation in healthcare education. What you'll do:

  • Work closely with the Director, Managers, Staff, Educators, and Community Partners to design and test integrated systems to support academic programs within the scope of the Simulation Center.
  • Oversee the integration and operation of all technical systems within the Simulation Center, including patient simulators, AV equipment, mixed reality systems, computers, and networking infrastructure.
  • Provide advanced technical support to instructors, facilitators, and learners for simulation events, addressing complex technical issues and troubleshooting systems-related challenges providing appropriate and timely solutions.
  • Provide specialized advice in collaboration with educators and operators to design and run complex simulation scenarios that require multiple systems.
  • Setup and maintain a reporting system for users to submit and track issues using this information to provide up-to-date information back to the users and to create regular reports for the Director.
  • Maintain a comprehensive documentation of technical procedures, equipment configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

What we are looking for:

  • Associates degree or technical certification in computer technology (e.g. hardware, networking, helpdesk, etc.) required. Bachelor's preferred.
  • One year of experience required. Five years of work-related experience preferred (i.e. computer-technology experience preferably in a healthcare setting, medical simulation experience, equivalent military training, and/or biomedical experience)
  • Experience with audiovisual and/or information technology and/or simulation technology required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or understanding of basic medical terms, procedures, or other health related field highly desirable; i.e., medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and/or biochemistry preferred.
  • Professional certifications and/or licenses including but not limited to A+, CHSE, CHSOS are preferred.

The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $68,000 depending on experience.
