Overview

The General Manager is responsible for leading the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of the truss manufacturing plant. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, optimizing operations, and driving business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the truss industry and a strong understanding of Component Sales, Design, and Manufacturing. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute business strategies to enhance efficiency, profitability, and market position.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee plant operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are met.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Sales & Design Collaboration: Work closely with sales and design teams to align customer needs with production capabilities.
  • Financial Performance: Manage budgets, costs, and profit margins to achieve financial targets.

This position requires prior experience in the truss industry, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to lead a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities

Complete responsibility of Profit and Loss of Plant.

Oversee inventory control

Oversee equipment maintenance program

Oversee continuous improvement program in all areas

Evaluation and development of staff and leadership

Increase management effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, coaching, disciplining managers.

Communicating values, strategies and objectives

Developing an environment where the offering of information and opinions are appreciated and expected.

Develop strategic goals by studying technology and financial opportunities; then recommending ideas.

Creating action plans for departments; design, production, and sales

Build company image by collaborating with customers, community organizations and employees.


Qualifications

Must be willing to relocate

Must have excellent problem-solving skills

Must be able to work under pressure

Additional qualifications of successfully passing 84's pre-employment process, including but not limited to math, PSI, and drug tests as well as a background check
