Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and upkeep of the building and equipment. This role requires a self-motivated and reliable individual who is eager to learn new skills, demonstrates strong communication abilities, works well both independently and collaboratively, and excels in problem-solving. What You'll Be Doing: * Maintain and repair dock plates, dock doors, dock shelters, and dock curtains * Perform general landscaping, plumbing, heating, electrical work, and basic carpentry. * Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment longevity. * Diagnose and repair broken assets efficiently. * Assist with basic forklift repairs and possess some knowledge of sprinkler systems and HVAC maintenance. * Identify and address safety concerns, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. * Prepare company required reports and work orders in an accurate and timely manner. * Communicate with vendors as directed. What You Need: A. Education: High School Diploma (Preferred) B. Experience: 3 to 5 years C. Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Strength & Endurance: Lift/carry 50+ lbs, stand/walk for long periods, repetitive tool use. Mobility & Flexibility: Bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders/stairs, work in tight or awkward spaces. Dexterity & Coordination: Operate hand/power tools, handle small parts, use control panels. Environmental Conditions: Exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, vibrations, chemicals, dust, fumes, confined spaces, and heights (PPE may be required).
