Description A Solder Technician role in Irvine, CA is available through Acara Solutions. Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of Soldering experience. In this role, successful candidates will have a working knowledge of electronic components and installing them into various circuit boards using a soldering iron. The candidate will also have the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and modify components in the developmental and production stage. The pay for this role is $20.00 p/hr. Solder Technician job responsibilities include: Operating soldering robots to automate production Installing components onto printed circuit boards using hand tools such as screwdrivers and soldering irons Meeting customer requirements using IPC A-610 standards Reading schematics and other technical manuals to fully understand how to perform various tasks Maintaining a safe working environment by wearing appropriate safety equipment as needed Following safety procedures and regulations regarding chemical use and disposal Communicating with other technicians and supervisors regarding project status and issues Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: At least 1 yr. Solder experience High School Diploma or GED Soldering experience Experience troubleshooting Requires manual dexterity with fine motor skills along with high visual acuity Ability to work with miniature to large components that may require visual magnification Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings, and processes Consistently maintain the highest level of quality standards Maintain ESD Integrity within the production environment Ability to work effectively within a team environment Preferred Skills / Qualifications: At least 1 yr. Solder experience IPC-610 Certification (current or previous) Experience running a soldering robot Two-year associate degree program in electronics or a related field preferred.
