Associate Sales Representative - Urology

Myriad Urology is looking for a sales and account management professional who is passionate about improving patients' lives. As an Associate Sales Representative (ASR) - Urology, you will report to the Urology Area Manager. The ASR will act as the primary point of contact between your assigned area, customer service, and our strategic accounts, such as but not limited to Urologists and Interventional Radiologists. The ASR is involved in implementation, projects around optimization, and retention of key accounts to ensure our customers' positive experience and success.

As an ASR, you will also act as a partner to educate and advocate for customers within the organization to drive new functionality and process improvement. They will have a deep understanding of our accounts' needs and challenges and work with internal stakeholders to pre-empt any issues.

Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with all AEs in the region to mitigate customer service issues (60% -70% of the job).
  • Communicate to physicians and staff on the value of the entire prostate cancer suite of tests and interpretation
  • Drive pull-through of Myriad portfolio of Urology testing
  • Providing In-Service training to office staff
  • Work closely with Customers and Myriad sales colleagues and support personnel to provide the highest level of customer support and satisfaction
  • Train clinical staff on protocols, pathways and any workflow processes as determined by customer for field sales colleagues
  • Regularly manage test cancellations, order issues and delays in test ordering
  • Evaluate customer sites and analyze real-time current state testing and test ordering effectiveness
  • Working with local pathology and phlebotomy providers to streamline specimen acquisition
  • Scheduling local talks and arranging peer to peer programs to groups that want to learn more
  • Must meet expense budget and administrative requirements
  • Utilize Territory Planning Tools for strategy and planning including target accounts, frequency of calls, etc.
  • Must update Salesforce (CRM) to track targeting, frequency, messaging and strategic/tactical information
  • Attend regional meetings and Urology conferences as planned



Qualifications



  • BS/BA degree required ideally in a related field of study
  • 2+ years of experience in sales-related or account management role within the biotech or healthcare industry preferred
  • Documented experience in project management
  • Background in training development and implementation
  • Proven track record of working successfully in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage ever-increasing responsibility and sustain growth
  • In-depth product knowledge and knowledge of disease states in current field of expertise
  • Ability to travel and do overnights as needed
  • Models the "consultative sales" approach; recognized by others for excellent selling and presentation skills
  • Effective at overcoming obstacles and challenges utilizing problem solving skills
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of coverage and reimbursement issues
  • Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Valid Driver's License



Physical Requirements

Lifting Requirements - sedentary to light work or exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements - stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, and observing. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions. OSHA category III - normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue and as part of the employment, will not be called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
