Role Summary

As a Service Logisitics Coordinator, you will cross functionally work with several teams within Service Development. You will maintain the inventory, identify best practices and process changes, and complete quality control for the build of our Mobile Service Vehicles.


Responsibilities

THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage and maintain the inventory lists of hardware, tools, and equipment

  • Manage inbound receipt and repacking of outbound raw materials and parts

  • Manage the inventory storage system and flex the space to match the production needs

  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, parts, and supplies

  • Manage the kitting of parts to the upfitting manufacturing line

  • Manage part allocation to work orders

  • Support a work request system to facilitate an elevated level of productivity in the workshop.

  • Identify best practices, process changes, operational issues/concerns, and continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Prepare routine reports, updates, and correspondence

  • Read and execute operations according to standards such as: safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Manage vehicle logistics for the Upfit facility which includes shuttling vehicles to/from secondary locations

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming inventory, including completing Bill of Lading (BOL) paperwork

  • Conduct quality control process for incoming and outgoing hardware and vehicles

  • Develop and execute the warehouse design and logistics program for the Mobile Service Vehicle Upfit facility


Qualifications

THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 2+ years of experience in warehousing or logistics industry

  • Experience in automotive, OEM or Tier 1 Supplier with supply chain, parts management, or quality management is a plus

  • Experience in end-to-end supply chain, organization, and/or material flow design experience

  • Experience in the following software applications and platforms: SAP, Coupa, SmartSheets, Confluence, Jira, ERP, MRP

  • Ability to work independently and with little supervision while maintaining high quality level of work and efficiency

  • Strong team player, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and detail oriented.

  • Experience in startup environment or technology sector is a plus

  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements including lift 50 lbs. safely, bending/crouching/kneeling, standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods

  • Possess a valid U.S. Driver's License and a safe driving record

  • No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years; No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years; Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring

  • In the performance of the duties of this job the employee may be asked to travel, drive a motor vehicle, communicate using telephone and e-mail.


Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $29.91-34.23 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
