Westfield Specialty's new A&H team will have a global reach and will be led by Chris Disipio, who recently joined Westfield Specialty as Executive Vice President, Accident & Health. As a key contributor on this highly experienced team, you'll help build a premier A&H reinsurance and insurance operation. This new team offers significant opportunities for career growth and development. We're looking for talented and enthusiastic individuals to help build the business, manage current reinsurance claims, and oversee TPA-handled insurance claims in the future. Successful candidates will have a strong knowledge of healthcare insurance policies, procedures, and regulations.

What you will do:

• Establish and manage the day-to-day activities of the A&H direct and reinsurance claims function, from first notice through resolution, including coverage evaluation and vendor and litigation management.
• Develop global processes and standards to ensure a consistent client experience for Westfield Specialty Accident and Health's clients.
• Provide exceptional customer service through all interactions and communications with internal and external business partners.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external business partners, including underwriters, actuaries, brokers, insureds, reinsurers, counsel, and senior management.
• Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with reinsurers, business units and client partners
• Identify and communicate industry trends.
• Adhere to all applicable statutory regulations and Unfair Claims Practices Acts.
• Collaborate with management team on planning, staffing and budgeting.
• Provide required Reporting and Analysis

Skills and experience:

• Minimum of 5-10 years of U.S. health insurance claims handling experience; international and Accident & Health experience is a plus.
• Prior claims leadership/management experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with healthcare insurance claims including cost containment and medical management processes and vendors. Familiarity with reinsurance claims is a plus.
• Experience in claim adjudication, coverage determination, and exceptional customer service skills.
• Provide new business support as needed, including participating in client meetings.
• Adjuster's licenses are strongly preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytic, investigative, listening, and negotiation skills.
• A desire to be part of a new and growing team.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability.
