Job Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa's network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

The North America Consulting Practice within VCA provides deep expertise in the banking, payments & analytics industry to provide solutions and insights that assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and managing risk.

The VCA team is looking for a Senior Manager to join our Digital Partners + Fintech segment and play a driving role in developing high impact projects for Visa's clients in the North America region. The potential candidate will be responsible for selling, delivering and implementing high value consulting projects and solutionswith this diverse and growing set of clients. This person will develop initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, thereby ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand and unique business partner.

Potential engagements will include payments strategy, benchmarking analysis, product development and launch, customer life cycle analytics (acquisition, engagement, retention), audience creation and personalization, loyalty optimization, propensity modeling and geospatial insights to name a few.

Essential Functions

  • Contribute to consulting project work, which involves playing a lead role and/or contributor role:
    • Lead consulting initiatives, managing cross-functional project teams and delivering upon engagement commitments
    • Collaborate with peers in other functional areas (e.g., data science, product, marketing, sales, risk) and across global and regional teams to execute projects
    • Building a storyline to help the client link insights to recommendations
    • Develop frameworks, approaches and recommendations that effectively address the most impactful opportunities and challenges of our clients
    • Build solutions and actionable insights that will help clients to grow their portfolios and customer engagement in their core business.
    • Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across the verticals and segments.
    • Ability to effectively manipulate and analyze large data sets (industry and Visa) to determine meanings insights and recommendations for clients
  • Identify, cultivate and manage a pipeline of work with North America Fintech and Digital Payments clients
    • Act as an owner in selling, scoping and delivering client engagements in partnership with your immediate team and Visa partners.
    • Partner with the Account Team to identify engagement opportunities, while simultaneously becoming a trusted ally key contributor to nurturing and enhancing the client relationship
    • Build deep understandings of clients' businesses and stay abreast with industry trends/developments in order to strengthen VCA's position as a strategic partner
    • Lead initiatives to identify potential opportunities with Fintech clients and contribute to closing deals for engagement work.
    • Work with other VCA delivery partners to determine solutions and approaches that can help Clients solve their key growth initiatives.
    • Maintains internal records in various systems for pricing approvals, internal routing and legal/funding approvals, and updating for proper revenue recognition.
  • Proactively engage with Visa internal teams in regular strategic & planning discussions.
  • Build new scalable solutions, toolkits, best practice documents and consulting approach that can be applied across VCA practice

Incumbents applying for the role should be self-motivated, highly accountable and energized, detail-oriented individuals. Candidates must be able to develop enduring, strategic relationships with internal and external clients and across the Visa organization. This is an individual contributor role.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days or more per week (determined by leadership/site and business needs).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 3+ years of relevant experience across different payments-related areas (e.g., Fintechs, Processors, Acquirers, Payments Schemes) and with large management consulting players
  • Strong consulting skills, including selling in and managing complex engagements
  • Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance. Significant focus on impacting ROI
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations, processor business and/ or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, marketing initiatives and card acquiring experience
  • Executive presence including excellent communication, storytelling, presentation skills, written and verbal, and ability to communicate at all levels within organizations
  • Collaborative, diplomatic, flexible and able to work effectively in matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual rigor and the ability to draw meaningful insights from disperse data outputs
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
  • Team player while holding self and others accountable for measurable high quality, timely and effective deliverables
  • Technology mindset, curious, up-to-date with digital trends and applications
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 127,400 to 195,750 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
