Key Responsibilities:
  • Panel Assembly: Assemble panels according to specific instructions, which may involve cutting, fastening, wiring, or attaching components.
  • Material Handling: Prepare and organize materials (such as metal, wood, plastic, wiring, and other components) needed for panel construction.
  • Quality Control: Inspect assembled panels to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards. Conduct routine checks for defects, and ensure that all components are properly installed.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Tool and Equipment Operation: Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble panels. Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of tools.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other assembly line workers, supervisors, and engineers to meet production goals. Communicate any issues or improvements related to assembly processes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered during assembly. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Product Testing: In some cases, conduct tests on completed panels to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications, such as electrical testing or structural integrity testing.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred, but not always required)
  • Experience in production assembly, preferably with panel or mechanical assembly (1-2 years)
  • Basic Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and machinery used in assembly processes
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed instructions and ensure accuracy in assembly and quality checks
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift materials (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues in the assembly process and find appropriate solutions
  • Teamwork: Must work well with others to ensure a smooth production process and meet deadlines
  • Basic Math Skills: Ability to measure, calculate dimensions, and ensure precision in assembly
  • Safety Conscious: Knowledge of safety standards in a manufacturing or production environment
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Electrical Panels: Familiarity with wiring and electrical components (if applicable)
  • Certification or Training in mechanical assembly or manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of CAD/Blueprint Reading: Ability to read schematics and technical drawings can be beneficial
Work Environment:
  • Physical Demands: The role requires standing, bending, lifting, and working with tools and machinery for extended periods.
  • Workplace: Manufacturing facility with noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
