DESCRIPTION OF WORK

No day is the same at Selinsgrove Center! You will work alongside other dedicated staff engaging in a variety of programs and activities identified by each individual's support plan. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • You will work a rotating work schedule 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will be required to work rotating weekends and holidays and overtime as needed.
  • You will be required to travel as operationally necessary.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (commonwealth title);
  • Six months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities;
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
