Job Title: Electrical & Controls Engineer

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Create electrical/control diagrams to support new product development
  • Create bills of materials to support new product development
  • Development of control programs for new product development
  • Support new technology development through assistance in proof of concept electrical/control needs
  • Research new controls solutions such as sensors, actuators, VFDs, and networks.
  • Support the R&D lab as it adapts to new testing or technology requirements
  • Direct support to key customers' installed equipment as required
  • Continuously learn through attendance of industry seminars/trade shows

Requirements:

  • Programming for controllers (DDC/PLC) (Automated Logic preferred)
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience
  • Network troubleshooting experience (Modbus & BACnet)
  • Understanding and ability to navigate the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • Understanding of UL standard 60335-2-40 and 508a
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Problem solver & team player
  • Ability to successfully plan work to meet deadlines
  • Understanding of HVAC Systems
  • Minimal travel required

Education:

  • B.S. In Electrical Engineering or 5 years of experience in Data Center controls programming & networking.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
