Work type: On Campus Location: Normal, Illinois Title: Academic Advisor Job Summary To serve as an undergraduate advisor for all teacher education majors, including bilingual/bicultural majors and minors. Advisement requires being aware of and thoroughly understanding University and School policies and procedures and communicating appropriate information to students, faculty, professional staff, and administrators. Must be able to provide guidance to and oversight of student accountability. Must effectively communicate the progress of student advisement and related procedures and policies to the school director. Additional Information University Benefit Highlights: Salary Rate / Pay Rate $52,000 - $54,000 Required Qualifications 1. Bachelor's Degree Preferred Qualifications 1. Able to demonstrate proficiency in oral and written fluency in Spanish with skills to advise students in teacher education with a bilingual/bicultural focus Work Hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with occasional evening or weekend work.
