Job Responsibilities

As a Material Industrialization Engineer at Michelin, your responsibilities will include:

  • Local material industrialization for projects with low to average complexity, following the HQRi (Homologation, Qualification, Industrial Robustness) method and developing action plans for quality planning.
  • Managing evolutions within your activity area in connection with materials and processes, using a detailed approach (Product, Material, Process, Methods, Measurement).
  • Assisting the shop in solving material and process problems.
  • Serving as a backup for the main RPLM (responsible for product lifecycle management) if assigned.
  • Handling central and local material industrialization for low to average complexity projects when delegated.
Key Accomplishments
  • Providing technical support for shop operations, including troubleshooting process areas, improving shop indicators, and contributing to process hazard analysis (PHA/ Hazop, FMEA).
  • Performing quality inspections and contributing to safety in the workplace.
  • Facilitating operation writing work orders and ensuring standard methodologies in the work environment.
  • Collaborating with TQOs to define, apply, and revise standards.
  • Defining and implementing local quality planning elements according to requirements.
  • Conducting local risk analysis for projects, including action plans and test/trial plans.
Use of Tools and Methods
  • Applying and analyzing central referentials and their local breakdown.
  • Applying digital tools for industrialization, progress, and support, including data collection and analysis.
  • Maintaining quality tools and ensuring specifications are up to date.
  • Developing dashboards and writing recap reports.
Personal Development and Mentorship
  • Relying on behavioral proficiencies encouraged of the position and ICARE behaviors (Encourage, Build trust, Awareness, Results, Empowerment).
  • Mentoring new arrivals if experienced, ensuring the transmission of knowledge and providing necessary training.
Additional Missions
  • Acting as the RPLM specialist for PMU (product management unified) applications, ensuring accurate usage and data quality.
  • Promoting and sustaining knowledge of PMU applications, training new users, and providing first-level support.
  • Capturing and coordinating tool evolution requests and participating in technical exchanges with central teams.
If delegated central activity:
  • Participating in R1 risk analysis and contributing to R2/R3 risk analysis, leading associated action plans.
  • Defining the industrialization plan, monitoring its implementation, and drafting technical summaries.
  • Providing elements necessary for technical validation.
