About this Position

Pinyon Environmental is seeking a motivated team player to assist the marketing team with proposal preparation, graphic design, and other marketing related functions. This position will report to our Marketing & Proposals Lead while supporting Pinyon's Technical Service Groups and markets. This individual must be skilled at writing, proofreading, editing copy and have strong and engaging graphic design skills. The ideal candidate has a background working Environmental Consulting and is self-motivated, creative, organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple on-going projects, as well as last-minute tasks with tight deadlines. The marketing department encourages innovative ideas that will help streamline and improve processes.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), responses to Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and other client facing marketing documents.
  • Analyze RFPs to determine proposal requirements and guide technical staff through the proposal process.
  • Design and develop templates for bid materials.
  • Create compelling illustrations, infographics, and other visually interesting marketing elements.
  • Assist staff with resumes and project descriptions.
  • Monitor RFPs and leads to assist in making "Go-No/Go" decisions.
  • Collaborates across all Technical and Market areas to establish and enforces graphic and writing standards on internal and external materials, documents, presentations, etc.
  • Design and maintain internal/external marketing materials including flyers, brochures, presentations, etc.
  • Organize and maintain internal electronic marketing materials.
  • Assist in the administration of Pinyon's CRM platform (Unanet/Cosential).
  • Organize and maintain the team's Knowledge Center archive of marketing content.
  • Assist in brand adherence/consistency across enterprise.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, English, or related field preferred but not required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in proposal preparation, preferably in the Environmental Consulting or AEC industry.
  • Strong working skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Strong working skills in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word).
  • Strong Desktop publishing skills.
  • Strong design skills, attention to detail, and ability to use the company branding in attractive ways.
  • Experience using Wordpress a plus.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills and ability to create original material.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously while keeping track of, and meeting, deadlines.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate with multiple sources to complete tasks.
  • Strong research skills (e.g., database queries, web searches).
  • Strong customer service skills and a willingness to respond to requests for information in an efficient manner.
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a background check.
