Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Shipping Coordinator to support our Operations Team in Chambersburg, PA. A Shipping Coordinator ensures shipping schedule is completed for all daily shipments, both domestic and international. This person acts as a backup to the Shipping Lead.

Schedule:

  • M-F 11am-7:30pm

Pay:

  • $19.00 per hour

What You'll Need:

  • 6 months work experience in at least one previous job
  • 6 months work experience which included walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, typing/keyboard

What You'll Do:

  • Answers phones and converses daily with the Transportation office through faxing logs, manifests and various paperwork.
  • Completes daily paperwork and filing duties; ensures all domestic and foreign documents are accurate and correct.
  • Makes sound decisions with regard to timeliness of domestic and international shipping.
  • Ensures timeliness of domestic and international shipping.
  • Closes or consolidates freight.
  • Completes all post office documentation, Fed-Ex air forms.
  • Calls appropriate LTL freight companies for daily pickups.
  • Makes sure documentation is filled out properly for the different publishers combining bulk pull skids and labeling with placards for all IPS orders.
  • Stacks freight on skids' ensuring accuracy for all carton and skid counts to be shipped. and correctly matches commercial invoices to order.
  • Makes sure packages have proper documents and transmit tracking numbers to appropriate customers to include furnishing copies to LaVergne for UOS Worldship parcels.
  • Utilizes office equipment i.e., data fax, copier, PC, e-mail, PKMS systems terminal, UPS Worldship, Fed-Ex and DHL Easyship.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of all ship vias and changes/updates received.
  • Communicates with other departments to ensure tasks are completed and received in the Shipping department by scheduled departure times.
  • Instructs other associates to wrap and/or load specific pallets when orders are complete.
  • Converts package weight from pound to metric to insure accurate shipping.

Essential Physical Demands:

  • Ability to walk and stand continuously during the assigned shift
  • Ability to lift/carry in full range of motion up to 70lbs during the assigned shift - 30lbs or less continuously, 31- 50lbs frequently and 51-70lbs occasionally
  • Ability to push/pull in a warehouse environment up to 70lbs force to push during the assigned shift - 1-50lbs continuously and 51-70lbs occasionally
  • Ability to grip/grasp continuously during the assigned shift
  • Ability to bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, climb, crawl, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shift
  • Willingness and ability to be equipment certified and able to meet physical requirements of equipment operator
  • Ability to work designated shift including overtime as required, which could include time before or after the designated shift and/or weekends
  • Exposure to wide range of temperatures
