Medical Device manufacturer located in Minneapolis is searching for an Ostomy Advisor - Customer Service. This position is open due to a retirement back-fill. Starting as soon as possible as a contract to permanent hire. Ostomy Advisor's are responsible for providing the initial call outbound to patients that have recently experienced a medical event that will require Ostomy care products. This is a difficult time for patients that are new to this product line. Each call and conversation will require the adviser to troubleshoot issues with the patient that is in pain and most likely on medication. These are quality conversations that are 6 minutes to 15 minutes or longer. Average call for new consumer would be around 6 - 10 minute mark. When trained in, each adviser is handling around 150 - 180 new patients per month as well as a continued pipeline that they are still working to close. Looking for 15 to 20 quality conversations per day. Depends on who answers the phone and is available when calls are made. Explanation of typical calls - Problem solving with these patients are more focused with the Ostomy group. We are sticking something to a body, that will have to be with the patient at all times. Generally, patients are advanced in age and someone that is coming off surgical aesthetics. Patients have little education on how products are supposed to work, quick hospital discharge cycle is expedited these days after a major gastric surgery. Which requires extensive patient education and troubleshooting. Need to have good questioning strategy, good phone skills and ability to educate. Need to give direction to someone that has cognitive challenges - pain medications, potential mental issues, stress, body image and self esteem issues due to eliminating waste for the rest of their life, etc. These are longer conversations and in depth. *Skills* Customer Service, Call Center Environment, Medical, Health Care, Administration Support, Insurance, Clinical Care, Support, Relationship Builder, Account Management, Bi Lingual *Top Skills Details* Customer Service,Call Center Environment,Medical,Health Care,Administration Support *Additional Skills & Qualifications* 2+ years of customer service experience in a call center environment *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
