Job Description

Maintain reliability, security, and disaster recovery capabilities for multiple MS SQL servers. Maintain existing and develop new SQL databases and SQL query code. Maintain existing MS IIS websites and develop new web sites and server-side applications.

Shift

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Evening, weekend and call-in work may be required to meet deadlines and correct system failures.

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of or proven capability to quickly learn programming language(s), operating systems, a text editor, report generators, database management, direct access techniques, remote processing and virtual systems to be utilized / supported within the hiring operating unit.

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, code versioning and repositories.

Experience with server-side frameworks such as Perl, python, node.js, ruby, php, Java, ASP, ASP.NET. VB.NET.

Knowledge of data modeling concepts and design techniques, database definitions, testing and debugging databases, generating and maintaining database management systems, and applying security concepts while designing and maintaining database structure's data integrity.

Experience Managing SQL database servers

Experience developing Transact-SQL code.

Experience developing and modernizing web sites

Strong documentation skills

Knowledge of software design techniques, database definitions, testing and debugging databases, database management systems, and applying security concepts while designing and maintaining database structures.

Three years of practical work experience in a SQL database and/or web development environment.

Availability for on-premises work on a regular basis with hybrid work options.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of website optimization

- Knowledge of accessibility

- Knowledge of standard website security practices

- Practical experience writing in one or more programming languages or 4th generation languages for multi-use/multitasking environments.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills - sufficient to effectively elicit IT information from users, train users in technical procedures / design, and document IT related procedures.

- Development experience with Microsoft Access

- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of a work assignment and to participate as a member of a cross departmental project team.

- Knowledge of PowerBI

- Ability to work under pressure; meet inflexible deadlines; deal with difficult individuals while maintaining composure.

- Ability to multitask with strict time constraints

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $51,875 - $85,000 Commensurate with experience
