The Product Support (PS) Logistics Manager is responsible for the efficient, consistent and profitable operation of the PS Logistics Group. This position is expected to integrate and communicate with the PS Division supporting teams and customers with respect to the best interest of the company. Duties include but are not limited to: personnel management, safety standard adherence, budget establishment and compliance, asset efficiency, policy enforcement, system support, system development and operational effectiveness.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Ensure all PS logistics personnel (Supervisors, Coordinators, System Support and Drivers) are fulfilling their job responsibilities while meeting expectations, CAT policies, and DOT laws as applicable.
  • Ensure successful and timely delivery of parts, materials, components and machinery within the construct of the daily Warren Cat shuttle network.
  • Fully understand and utilize operational software for maximum efficiency. This includes, ERP, WMS, Tracking and Dispatch software.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with (1) software/hardware vendors, (2) customers (3) suppliers and act as a liaison with CAT staff in Waco.
  • Oversee the testing of new software/hardware for application viability and functionality.
  • Plan, monitor and analyze annual budget; make note of any special circumstances that may create a budget variance.
  • Create, review, recommend and maintain immediate and long-term plans for proper resource utilization (employees, facility, tooling, software and equipment).
  • Ensure all equipment and hardware are in working order and properly represent the professionalism of Warren CAT.
  • Oversee billing and expense processes to ensure accuracy.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED:



  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; with 5 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Basic PC skills required. Should have a working knowledge of spreadsheet, database, and web-based computer platforms.
