Zipcar is looking for an experienced and talented Ecommerce Manager to join our Acquisition & Paid Media team. The C-commerce Managerwill be responsible for ideating, managing, and executing all website initiatives Zipcar. "Analytical," "scrappy," and "collaborative" describe the ideal Zipster for this position. They will work closely with different stakeholders across Marketing, Product, and Finance and be as comfortable as a project manager as they are being hands-on with the work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the ecommerce industry, digital marketing, A/B testing strategies, content-as-a-tool, web and media analytics and website management. - Work closely with Product on strategic initiatives including: new member acquisition, conversion optimization, testing, etc.
- Manage the daily operations of the Zipcar.com pre-sales site including content/style updates, landing page development, testing, troubleshooting, etc.
- Develop and implement an online marketing strategy to increase website traffic and sales
- Analyze customer and site data to identify trends and opportunities to improve the customer experience and conversion rates and develop data driven strategies that will continually optimize and improve performance
- Work with the design, product, and engineering teams to create a user-friendly website
- Monitor and update website security protocols
- Develop and implement ecommerce strategy to improve website performance (specifically conversion rate and CPA)
- Work with developers to improve website performance
- Stay on top of latest trends and technologies that are relevant and may be applied to improve Zipcar performance
- Develop testing and promotional calendar and oversee website uploads and landing pages development
- Report on performance
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in a similar role preferred
- Experience with and understanding of multiple digital marketing concepts such as: SEM, SEO, social media, display, OLV/CTT, and affiliate channels
- Confidence developing and overseeing retail and eCommerce-focused digital marketing strategies
- Excellent understanding of UX, web design, customer flow and web analysis
- Experience with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Optimizely, etc.
- Strong experience with multiple content management systems (knowledge and/or experience with Drupal is a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence in traffic analysis, reporting tools and optimization
- Knowledge of attribution modelling, website speed optimization, A/B testing, conversion management, sales journey optimization
