SUMMARY:

Provides health care services to assist in diagnosis or treatment.

Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques producing images for the interpretation by; or at

the request of a licensed practitioner

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Knowledge of radiographic procedures equipment operation radiation safety positioning techniques

2. patient transfers

3. Good communication skills

4. Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects

5. Ethical and professional conduct

6. Good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics.

7. Flexibility to work overtime as needed as well as on-call duty weekend rotations.

8. Interest in participating in orientation/clinical education of student radiographers in accordance with

9. clinical education center guidelines for radiologic technology program(s).REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS:

a. High School Diploma (or equivalent). Three years Central Sterile Supply Processing experience with demonstrated leadership skills. IAHCSMM certification or by 12 months of hire date.

Education experience licensure technical other:

1. Graduate of Certificate Program in Radiography orAssociate in Science Degree

2. One to threeyears experiencepreferred but not required

3. Certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in radiography. Licensure by the

4. Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Radiography. *For recent radiologic technology graduate only: ARRT

5. registered certification eligibility in Radiography with RT(R); must obtain registered certification within 12

6. months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist

7. Radiography (Full/General) license.

8. BLS required.
