Job Summary TYLin's Rail + Transit team is growing! We are looking for Senior Project Mechanical Engineer for work on various state of the art Rail and Transit projects. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Provide design and oversight to ensure that the execution of mechanical work is in compliance with approved contracts.
  • Oversee contractors' mechanical construction installation, testing, documentation and developing punch list of work.
  • Monitor the execution and implementation of the mechanical portion of project schedule.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all mechanical project documents.
  • Review mechanical plans and procedures periodically and institute changes when necessary.
  • Provide support in reviewing all contractor-supplied mechanical documentation for completeness.
  • Provide input regarding the mechanical project design process.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant mechanical inspection and design experience working in complex transportation facilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical engineering, mathematics, construction, mechanical construction standards, and codes.
  • Performs review of calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepares contract drawings and specifications, construction and design cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
