Position Summary:

Looking to get some great experience in Human Resources? Employee Benefits Corporation is hiring for a Human Resources Intern to support our HR team in various administrative and operational tasks. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in human resources management, talent acquisition, employee benefits, and compliance.

We're looking for candidates that are available to work approx. 10 hours per week and expect the internship to last through December, 2025. This will be a hybrid position, requiring occasional days in our Middleton, WI office.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provides general support to the human resources team as needed, including research on HR trends, best practices, and assisting with special projects
  • Supports recruiting efforts to include posting positions, interview scheduling, conducting reference and background checks, offer letter preparation and candidate disposition
  • Assists in organizing employee events, surveys, and actives to support engagement and company culture
  • Maintains Human Resources files including payroll documents, I-9 forms, new hire paperwork, termination files, labor law posters and other related documents according to established company standards and regulatory law
  • Prepares correspondence, forms, reports and other administrative duties
  • Other ad-hoc projects as needed
  • Maintains confidentiality of all PHI, payroll, medical, benefit and employee-related information, policies and related matters



Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a high paced environment with limited direction
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong analytical thinking skills



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Junior, senior or graduate student with related coursework completed
