Role Overview:

As the Chief Technology Infrastructure Architect you will play a key role in the Enterprise Technology Services team, reporting directly to the NYL Enterprise Architect. As the Infrastructure Architect you will serve as a strategic partner and advisor to the EA Community and Product/Service Owners, offering deep technical expertise to build highly resilient platforms to achieve strict standards of performance and business resiliency. The ideal candidate is an experienced technologist with years of practical experience engineering and developing enterprise technology solutions. Each day in the role is an opportunity to drive outcomes in the form of industry leading digital client experiences. Collaboration and developing partnerships are a critical success factory. You will support the EA Domain Architect Community who will leverage their collective experience to build a comprehensive portfolio of enterprise capabilities consumed by our diverse portfolio of insurance, investments, and benefits products & services. The ideal candidate must focus on facilitating technology solutions keeping agility in balance with governance and standards. The focus of the role is building reuseable patterns for enterprise consumption creating a fast path for delivery of capabilities the broader technology organization. A key focus is promoting a frictionless developer experience by establishing reuseable full stack application infrastructure patterns.

What You'll Do:
* Evangelist for the software development community endeavoring to facilitate the deployment of business capabilities
* Documenting architectural patterns and co-developing solutions with agile software development teams.
* Consults with application and infrastructure development projects and products to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify designs to accommodate the solutions architecture
* Leads evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements and enterprise standards
* Acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes
* Leads efforts to develop detail business cases and TCO models
* Expert in cloud economics leading decisions on the most cost effective deployment models

What You'll Bring:
* Bachelor's degree computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
* Experience operating in SAFe Agile and Scrum Frameworks
* Practical experience in developing and deploying ML/AI and data analytics solutions
* Experience as full stack engineer deploying AWS services, microservices, and Kubernetes
* A bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
* A minimum of five years of experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development
* Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments
* Good understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
* Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies and roadmaps
* Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences
* Certified Solution Architect, ITIL - Master Certification, TOGAF 9, or Zachman Certified Enterprise Architect.
* AWS Certified Architect and/or developer

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$140,000-$240,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
