Overview
Lead a team of Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) professionals to conduct research, test, and assess aging weapon systems and equipment to improve the combat capabilities. Primary technical areas of analysis shall include operational suitability OT&E; OT&E project management (maintenance equipment); systems engineering for Air Reserve Component (ARC) modernization and sustainment; munitions maintenance, logistics, and security analysis; and systems interoperability assessments.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned project.
- This includes activities related to contract performance, financials, quality assurance, risk management, communications, leadership, and business development.
- Responsible for interacting and coordinating with all levels of the organization to meet the needs of the project.
- Provides guidance and direction to project staff to ensure successful outcomes (i.e., end item deliverables for the project).
- Actively works to use AMERICAN SYSTEMS' MERGE service delivery framework in the execution of their projects.
- Follows applicable Service Delivery Models (SDMs) and contributes to their continuous improvement.
- Promotes a culture of accountability and operates with focus on achieving our Key Results.
- Oversees all phases of the project lifecycle to include managing the development and delivery of the Project Management Plan (PM Plan) and project deliverables in accordance with contract terms, established quality standards, and company policy. Identifies and mitigates risks; monitors and manages resources.
- Procures materials IAW company policy and approves all expenditures as authorized.
- Measures and reports on project status against plan.
- Achieves business metrics, revenue, and fee goals.
- Recommends new processes and leads efforts to improve existing processes to improve quality and delivery.
- Provides input into contract reviews and modifications.
- Coordinates preparations of proposals, plans, and financial conditions of contracts.
- Expands product/service line with existing customer.
- Organizes and leads the project team.
- Recruits, trains, and supervises staff in accordance with company policy.
- Establishes employee goals and conducts employee performance reviews.
- Provides career development advice.
- Possess strong leadership skills demonstrated through a proven record of planning, organizing and controlling all activities of project management.
- Must have strong client management skills, including the ability to make and maintain lasting relationships while managing expectations and daily interactions.
- Must possess the ability to access, interpret, and apply government and industry standards, law, and corporate policy and procedures to the management and execution of assigned project.
- Must possess a strong understanding of revenue models, P/L, ETC/EAC, cost estimating, pricing, and billing procedures.
- Must have the proven ability to lead a workforce.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 6-8 years of management experience and 4-6 years of domain experience
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $113,000.00/Yr. - USD $188,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
