Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site of our customers in an end user support capacity providing exceptional customer service.
  • Windows Operating System Knowledge including OS Installation, Upgrades and BIOS administration
  • Familiarization with troubleshooting Microsoft Office tools
  • Cybersecurity compliance including understanding of standard HW and SW processes and non-standard product request HW and SW installations
  • Good customer service skills including those needed when dealing with frustrated users
  • Good problem-solving skills for diagnosing both hardware and software issues
  • Good communication skills with teammates, users, and program management
  • Teamwork and Reliability - especially with regards to time management
  • Organized in Asset Tracking
  • Physically able to pick up/setup IT hardware as well as track down issues including those under desks and in the confined areas in the Server Room
  • Obtain HP Partner status that will allow them to submit Warrantee Orders
  • Repair/replace broken laptop/workstation components (screens, keyboards, power supplies, etc.) as needed
  • Ability to pick up hardware from LM warehouse and bring to job site when needed
  • Willingness to keep iLab room neat and organized for optional efficiency
  • Honor confidentiality rights when dealing with user's and customer's data
  • Attend online meetings that involve hardware/software issues
  • Set up mobile equipment for video conferencing meetings as needed
  • Support/troubleshoot issues during meetings in any of the building's conference and engagement rooms
  • Willingness to learn new skills as needed
Desired Skills:
  • Service Central Scripting and Automation
  • Network Administration
Driving is required for role so a MVR check will be run
Length: Long term contract, opportunity of extension
Pay $26/hr.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • 2 year of experience migrating workstations to WIN 9 or 10
  • 2 years demonstrating professional desktop support history with a variety of platforms / systems / applications and tools to include Operating system expertise - Windows, Unix/Linux, Apple, Network protocol and Image loading protocol
  • 2 years LAN/NETWORK connectivity, and basic network connectivity assessment for troubleshooting or setups
  • 2 years of experience in connectivity and telecommunications/networking
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Evaluates and tests software programs to verify functionality according to specifications and standards
  • Demonstrates excellent Customer Service
  • Install and configure network devices (i.e. network printers, scanners, plotters, PCs, etc.). Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices. Perform data termination/ activation in telecommunication closets aka network connect (activation of data drops).
  • Repair and replace data connectors on network cables and data drops.
  • Assist in the relocation of customer employees on the facility (move PCs and activate data drops in new location).Troubleshoot network issues with PCs and LAN (duplex mismatches, duplicate IPs, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues, etc.)
  • Assist with imaging of laptops and PCs for deployment.
Additional Information:
Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check, MVR check and a drug screen.
Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance and maintain one.
