Overview

LMI is seeking a Network Engineer for a program supporting a US Navy client. The Network Engineer will focus on supporting developing technical architectures that support both cloud based and hybrid solutions while also providing network engineering subject matter expertise (SME) for a SAP S4HANA modernization effort.


This role requires an active SECRET security clearance.

Responsibilities

    Work closely with the stakeholders and requirements team to understand strategic to tactical network requirements.
  • Serve as a Network Engineering subject matter expert to guide and integrate diverse stakeholder requirements into a feasible technical requirement
  • Provide technical assistance and expertise for supporting activities that include network analysis and design, evaluation of merging infrastructure technologies, enclave security practices
  • Provide network engineering support for cloud migration or cloud implementation
  • Develop and review network diagram and documentation, system architecture documents, memoranda of agreements, procedures and policies, and other documentation to support risk management and audit.
  • Assist in writing technical and operational management documentation related to networks.
  • Help define requirements for the customer's target operational model down to core data models, data flows, and processes.
  • Work with government Technical Directors, System Integrators, functional and programmatic offices, and stakeholders acting as a networking SME
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies in accordance with Risk Management Framework
  • Research and document "as-is" processes, information exchange requirements, and system interface requirements by collaborating with stakeholders to gather architecture artifacts from authoritative sources
  • Assist client leadership to develop policies and guidelines such as directives, instructions, and regulations regarding the design and implementation of architecture


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-years of professional technical experience
  • Bachelor's degree with a technical/STEM focus
  • Active SECRET Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TOP-SECRET clearance
  • Demonstrated experience architecting and implementing complex cloud-based and hybrid networks on the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN)
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP S4HANA
  • Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed networking systems
  • Demonstrated experience with data streaming across wired and wireless networks
  • Thorough understanding of US Department of Defense (DoD) Cyber Security requirements to include Zero-Trust, FISMA, and the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Familiarity with Navy wired and wireless networks to include CAISI/VSAT
  • Experience with Navy or other DOD Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Experience working on DoD IT projects
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring specifications and standards (ISO/MIL-STD/MIMOSA/SAE).
  • DoDAF experience
  • Experience with tuning network hardware and software for optimal network performance
  • Networking certifications to include CISCO, AWS, or others.

The salary range for this position is - $87,217-$153,503.
