The Role:

The Showroom Maitre D provides excellent, friendly, and courteous service to guests. Responsible for supervising and providing support to the showroom staff.

Responsibilities:



  1. Maintain general cleanliness and organization in the showroom.
  2. Delegate work to employees.
  3. Assists Entertainment Manager with hiring, interviews and training of showroom hosts.
  4. Responsible for front door staff schedule and operations, booking guests, and coordinating reservations.
  5. Works Closely with the Box Office Concierge and Casino Host department.
  6. Responsible for assuring the highest quality guest experience by promoting the Thoughtful Service Model throughout all areas of responsibility. Handles and resolves guest complaints and concerns and reports any unresolved issues to management.
  7. Regular attendance for scheduled work is required.
  8. Other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises the showroom hosts. Carries our supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Tropicana Entertainment's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

Regular attendance required.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of related experience and/or training in a similar food outlet, hotel, or casino atmosphere.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must possess and be able to maintain a current Health Card, Liquor License, or other required certifications as required by geographical area of the property.

Language Skills:

Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Reasoning Ability:

Planning, Remembering Details, Using Arithmetic, Reading, Directing Others, Making Decisions, Working Rapidly, Working at Various Tempos, Concentrating Amid Distractions, Examining & Observing Details, Remembering names and Faces.

Physical Demands:
