Job Summary:

The CMDB Administrator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, optimization, and governance of IT assets and configuration data. This role manages discovery, automation, and relationship mapping to support IT operations while overseeing the lifecycle of hardware, software, and cloud resources to ensure accurate tracking and cost control. Additionally, the Vendor Management Specialist oversees contracts, vendor performance, optimizing procurement, mitigating risks, and ensuring seamless operations and compliance.

Responsibilities and Duties:



  • ServiceNow CMDB / Asset Management: Manages and optimizes the CMDB and IT asset lifecycle, ensuring data accuracy, automation, and visibility into hardware, software, and cloud resources. Leverage ITOM for discovery, service mapping, and automation, and ITAM for asset tracking and compliance. This role integrates assets into the CMDB, supports the Service Catalog, and ensures governance while enabling efficient incident, change, and problem management.
  • ServiceNow Development: Ability to design, customize, and integrate ServiceNow applications, automating workflows and optimizing performance. They ensure system stability, troubleshoot issues, and maintain security and compliance.
  • Cloud Asset Management: Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of cloud resources, ensuring efficient lifecycle management from procurement to decommissioning. Analyze usage and spending trends to optimize costs.
  • Integration: Ability to deploy and manage ServiceNow Service Graph Connectors, as well as implement and support custom API integrations with third-party systems to ensure seamless data exchange and synchronization.
  • Audits and Reconciliation: Regularly conduct audits and reconciliation of hardware, cloud, and software asset data to maintain data integrity. Identifying discrepancies and taking corrective actions is an essential part of this responsibility.
  • Reporting and Insights: Assist in the design and development of asset management reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights into asset utilization, compliance, and data integrity to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Documentation: Develop and implement procedures and processes across ITOM, ITAM, and Vendor Management to ensure consistency and uniformity across these disciplines.
  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Implement and maintain a comprehensive asset lifecycle management strategy. Ensure assets are tracked from acquisition through disposal.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for vendor management activities. Building and nurturing strong relationships with vendors is vital to optimize costs and ensure service quality.
  • Procurement Support: Work closely with procurement teams to ensure accurate recording and tracking of asset acquisitions, leases, and contracts within the ServiceNow platform. This ensures comprehensive visibility into our asset portfolio.
  • Third-Party and IT Risk Assessments: Contribute to the facilitation of risk assessments, both for initial due diligence and ongoing oversight of Third-Party and IT services. Assist in evaluating risk factors and ensuring risk is clearly understood by the requester.
  • Data Analysis and Maintenance: Perform data analysis related to third-party and contract data, drawing conclusions to support decision-making. Additionally, assist in the maintenance of third-party and contract data and related artifacts within systems, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Third Party Performance Monitoring: Monitor vendor performance and compliance, proactively addressing issues and recommending improvements where necessary.

  • Java scripting is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated through strong analytical and data-gathering skills.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize time-sensitive assignments, and meet critical deadlines.
  • A strong background in customer service, both internal and external.
  • SNOW Certifications are a plus:




      • Certified Implementation Specialist - Service Mapping
      • Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery
      • Certified Implementation Specialist - IT Operations Management
      • Certified Implementation Specialist - IT Asset Management

This job is a hybrid position with a requirement to work a minimum of 4 days in-office per week.
