Job Description

Position Summary
The College Coordinator plays a critical role in driving enrollment yield by providing personalized support and guidance to admitted students, helping them transition from acceptance to matriculation. Reporting to the Executive Director for Enrollment Management, the College Coordinator manages a dedicated caseload of admitted students-introducing them to their academic program, addressing their questions and concerns, and fostering strong connections with their families. Through proactive communication, individualized outreach, and meaningful relationship-building, this position ensures a seamless and welcoming onboarding experience that ultimately encourages students to confirm their enrollment.

Key Responsibilities

Yield Enhancement & Relationship-Building

  • Maintain regular, proactive contact with assigned admitted students through calls, emails, text messaging, and virtual sessions to address their needs and encourage their enrollment decisions.
  • Develop rapport with students' parents and family members, keeping them informed about the university's academic programs, resources, and support services to cultivate trust and reassurance.

Academic Orientation & Onboarding

  • Introduce students to their chosen academic programs by connecting them with faculty, advisors, and departmental resources.
  • Provide clear, detailed information on curricula, course registration, academic expectations, and support services to ensure admitted students are well-prepared for their first semester.

Support Services & Resource Navigation

  • Guide students and families through essential processes, such as financial aid, housing, orientation, and registration, ensuring a smooth transition to campus life.
  • Identify and address potential barriers to enrollment, such as missing documentation or unanswered questions, collaborating with relevant campus offices to resolve issues promptly.

Outreach & Communication Strategies

  • Employ personalized messaging, CRM tools, and targeted communication plans to keep students engaged and informed from admission through enrollment confirmation.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to maintain consistent messaging and branding across all channels.

Data Tracking & Reporting

  • Track individual student progress and maintain accurate records of communication, follow-up, and outcomes.
  • Analyze yield metrics and trends in assigned caseload to inform ongoing strategies and enhance future enrollment efforts.

Collaboration & Campus Partnerships

  • Work closely with enrollment managers, admissions counselors, academic advisors, and student support services staff to streamline onboarding efforts and ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in and support events such as admitted student days, virtual info sessions, orientations, and academic program showcases.

Shift

40 hours a week, Monday - Friday, some evening and weekend hours would apply

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in higher education, business administration, psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with enrollment CRM systems, data analysis, and yield management best practices.
  • Experience in a public research university environment and knowledge of academic program structures.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: $51,875 - $60,300 Annual
