The Operations Lead - Facilities position is a 1st shift position with a work schedule of Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm. The primary responsibility of the Operations Lead is to assist in facilitating the flow of Facilities/Maintenance work orders through the Liberty Distribution Centers. The Operations Lead enhances the team experience for the department by being relentless problem solvers, building relationships, mentoring, and implementing continuous improvement solutions. The Operations Lead works directly with Operations Supervisors and serves as first line of support for facility issues. The Operations Lead makes decisions relative to execution, staffing and department effectiveness. The incumbent possesses knowledge of all operational functions of the department. The Operations Lead engages professionally and always maintains confidentiality. The Lead positively influences employee engagement and serves as a role model for Hallmark cultural expectations. As required by all employees the Lead will engage with all Hallmark employees with respect and dignity and values diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The Operations Lead facility position needs to be familiar with and be able to operate, troubleshoot, repair and does preventive maintenance on all boilers, chillers, air conditioners, air compressors and related equipment. The Operations Lead will assist in helping the Supervisors to oversee work done on all plumbing, fire systems, electrical substations, and electrical power distribution systems, as well as all mobile equipment, the distribution center buildings and grounds, and the Cafe equipment. Train all apprentices on equipment operations to ensure knowledge transfer and team capability. Teamwork, collaboration, and flexibility, along with LEAN principles of problem solving and elimination of waste are expectations of the position. Additionally, every employee is responsible for their personal safety, as well as the safety of others. Adherence to established safety policies and procedures, along with the reporting of all injuries and unsafe conditions within the facility are also requirements of this position. Business needs of the department may require additions or changes to the duties of this position. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS The following is required to be considered for this role:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Ability to constantly stand, walk, push/pull, and reach above shoulder level
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds constantly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- 2-3 years of mechanical experience
- PC experience with word and excel

- Will be required to complete required overtime and adjust their work hours as needed to meet operational demands.
- Will be required to be on-call overnight and through the weekends.
- The Hallmark Liberty Distribution Center is located 20 miles north of downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
