Pricing and Data Analytics Specialist

Overview of the Position:

The Pricing and Analytics Specialist is responsible for executing the Pricing strategy for our Distribution and PMA (Parts Manufacturing Authority) businesses and is the champion of price as a key profit-driver for the company. The position is responsible for the development and implementation of the pricing strategy across multiple markets including Airlines, MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) as well as OEMs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Perform detailed analysis of transaction level data, synthesizing findings into relevant trends and correlations and assisting in the construction and implementation of solutions that drive revenue and margin optimization
  • Actively participate in ad-hoc and strategic customer pricing strategies and tactics for applicable aviation market segments regarding current and new product offerings
  • Champion quantification and impact analysis of existing or proposed pricing policies, procedures and governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with senior management to implement new pricing initiatives.
  • Facilitate Order Management System (OMS) process to ensure quality and comprehensive bid execution, collaborating with relevant stakeholders identified in each process.
  • Act as broad spectrum analytic consultants for all departments under Wencor Group Product Management scope.
  • Participate in design, build and deployment of Bl (Business lntelligence) solutions. Ensure data integrity of Wencor Bl (Business lntelligence) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) tools; create and enforce policies for effective data management.
  • Participate in new product launches as it relates to PIM (Product lnformation Management) management and launch pricing.
  • Assist with reports and data extraction when needed; analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns and present information using data visualization techniques.
  • Formulate management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data; extend company's data with third party sources of information when needed.



Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies with an excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.)
  • An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra) and experience with data visualization tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Education / Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with quantitative focus such as Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related field with an MBA degree preferred; three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
