Overview

The Reconciliation Manager is responsible for oversight and management of the daily production of the reconciliation team.

The reconciliation team is responsible for the timely and accurate reconciliation and research of numerous general ledger accounts, Internal and checking accounts, and internal savings account reconciliations. All reconciliations are categorized into daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, based on risk and transaction volume. Types of accounts reconciled include Due/From or We/They, Systems/Interface, Foreign Exchange, and balance sheet asset and liability accounts. All reconciliations are performed in the Frontier Finance reconciliation software application, Fidelity FMS Internal Reconciliation software or via Excel.

The Reconciliation Manager will coordinate and oversee the reconciliation process, ensure adherence to timely completion of reconciliations and outstanding item research, management of personnel, and management of late recon and aged items reports. Additionally, the Reconciliation Manager will be responsible for General Ledger system maintenance to include the opening/closing of general ledger accounts. Reconciliations must be completed in accordance with OMBP Reconciliation and Accounting Policy.

The Reconciliation Manager is reasonable for coordinating with the Frontier Finance Technology Support Team of required changes to the software application (addition of new accounts, closed accounts, changes to reconciliation frequency, and changes to the auto matching criteria.

In addition, the Reconciliation Manager is responsible for ensuring all reconciliation account supporting documentation is complete and ready to in support of internal or DCAA internal control audits.

  • Strong foundation of banking operations
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation process
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to critically evaluate and resolve outstanding item research
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and prioritize production workload and ensure that individual reconciliations have appropriate coverage during absence of team members
  • Prior management experience
  • Experience with Frontier Finance is a plus
