DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will work closely with youths, families, and community resources to ensure a smooth transition for individuals leaving the Loysville Youth Development Center. You will be involved in coordinating and implementing transitional services, creating discharge plans, establishing a network of community-based resources, and conducting follow-up after the individual has left the facility. You will also be responsible for ensuring the successful reintegration of individuals back into their community through active and effective discharge planning. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours and schedule may change based on operational needs.

- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $58,035.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Social Worker 1 or Forensic Social Worker 1 (commonwealth titles) (must have been employed in a commonwealth social worker job title on September 8, 2008, with continuous commonwealth employment); or
- Two years of experience as a Social Worker 1 or a Forensic Social Worker 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) and a bachelor's degree in social work or social welfare; or
- Two years of professional experience providing direct public or private social work services, and a bachelor's degree in social work or social welfare; or
- A master's degree in social work or social welfare.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:
- You must be willing to accept employment at Loysville Youth Development Center and commute to this location in Loysville, Perry County.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
