Title: AWS Glue Lead- Hartford, CT- onsite Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Architect with 7 to 11 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python AWS Glue Studio AWS Glue ETL Amazon S3 and Apache Spark. Experience in Billing and Receivables Management is a plus. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue Studio and AWS Glue ETL
- Oversee the development and maintenance of data storage solutions using Amazon S3
- Provide expertise in Python programming to optimize data processing workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
- Utilize Apache Spark to process and analyze large datasets efficiently
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes
- Develop and implement best practices for data management and governance
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance to ensure optimal operation
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data solutions
- Mentor and guide junior team members in technical aspects and best practices
- Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the data platform
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular updates on project progress
- Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive records of data solutions
Qualifications

- Must have strong experience in Python programming for data processing
- Must have hands-on experience with AWS Glue Studio and AWS Glue ETL
- Must have experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
- Nice to have experience in Billing and Receivables Management domain
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must have strong communication and collaboration skills
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Certifications Required preferred not mandatory - AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified Big Data Specialty Python Certification Maintenance: Application Expiration Date: 3/10/2025 The annual salary for this position is between $110,000 - $140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
