injured, or convalescing patients/residents or persons with disabilities in a skilled nursing setting. The Registered Nurse assess patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and advises patients/residents on health maintenance and disease prevention, and provides overall case management. Registered Nurses direct and supervise the work of licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants. What you'll do Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, modify, and evaluate patient care plans. Provide basic-to-advanced patient care or treatments, such as taking vitals, assessing for and dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, immunizations, and performing catheterizations. Administer medications and intravenous fluids and monitor patients for reactions or side effects. Document and record resident observations and health-related information in electronic systems. Observe and supervise licensed practical nurses and nurses' aides or assistants to ensure proper nursing care delivery. Collect samples, such as blood, urine, or sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples. As needed, measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration. As needed, care for residents by monitoring health status, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, assisting with mobility, and serving meals and snacks. Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with residents, families, and coworkers. Communicate resident observations and health-related information to others member of the care team including coworkers, supervisors, third-party providers, and families. Learn and apply Company, Federal, State, and local rules, regulations, and policies.
