As the Video Intern, you will be responsible for assisting social media coordinators and videographers in creating engaging videos for social media from start to finish. The top candidates will have outstanding attention to detail in all aspects of video production. Applicants must have prior experience with professional video equipment and editing software, as well as a solid understanding of various social media platforms.
Duties Include
* Filming, editing, interviewing, and captioning videos for social media.
* Assisting social media coordinator with livestreaming.
* Helping with the creation of social media campaigns and content strategies.
* Assisting multimedia director with filming, lighting, sound, and other aspects of video production as assigned.

This position would begin at the start of the fall 2025 semester. We prefer the successful candidate to be able to work in this position through spring commencement in May 2026.

$15.00/hour

- Experience with professional video equipment (manual exposure settings, and microphone and audio settings).
- Knowledge of editing software (Adobe Creative Cloud preferred).
- Experience with shooting high-quality video using a smartphone.
- Must be professional, highly motivated, personable, timely, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of social media platforms, specifically TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Must be in good standing with both academic and University conduct at the time of application throughout employment.

- Working knowledge of livesteaming software (OBS, Streamlabs, etc.).

12 hours per week. Schedule would be agreed upon by the selected applicant, senior social media coordinator, and the associate director for strategic communications.
