The Staff Networking Engineer will provide depth and guidance within the NA Region's Network Team. Daily support and administration of our networks, both local and Global (LAN/WAN, WLAN, Virtualized, Cloud, etc.). Ensures and maintains network security, propose improvements, and maintains technical documentation.



  • Approves the provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of network hardware, systems software, and related infrastructure.
  • Directs the lifecycle management of network system hardware and operating systems.
  • Continually assesses and maintains security and integrity of the network (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN)
  • Consults with business partners within the Draeger organization, based on requirements, to design and implement innovative Network and Systems Solutions.
  • Mitigates and resolves any issues, including escalations to customers and vendors.
  • Provides Tier III support to the Infrastructure Operations Team and Field Services team on workstation, server, and application support issues, as well as coaching and mentoring IT team members to enhance their skills.
  • Designs, implements, and supports Azure/AWS Cloud networks.
  • Works both independently as well as with guidance from the manager or project lead.
  • Maintains task status and documentation, network diagrams, technical documentation and provides reports to management as requested.
  • Oversees Cybersecurity best practices including CMMC/NIST requirements.
  • Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

Your Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar discipline or the equivalent in education, training and relevant experience.

Related Experience:



  • 8-10+ years network administration experience required
  • Expertise with Cisco Catalyst and Meraki required
  • Experience with Firepower and ASAs preferred
  • Expert-level technical skills, attention to detail and ability to work in stressful high paced environments
  • Solid Wireless Networking Administration
  • Expertise in Network Analysis tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Metasploit, Snort or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Security protocols including (IPSec, PKI, certificates)
  • IP Routing (IP, Multicast, MPLS, SDWAN)
  • Knowledge of Public Cloud infrastructures (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)
  • NIST/CMMC Controls
  • Familiarity with Palo Alto GlobalProtect and Prisma



Special Competencies or Certifications:



  • Cisco Certification or other network certification a plus
  • Certified Wireless Network Administrator
  • ITIL Certification
  • CompTIA network+

This location also serves as the key site for essential US functions which includes Medical Sales and Service Management, Medical Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Quality and Finance.
