Architectural Designer

We're looking for a Architectural Designer with REVIT experience to join our interdisciplinary team at the Lockheed Martin Facilities in Orlando, FL. Please read the entire job description before applying.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
* Attends client meetings.
* Assists in the analysis of data to plan and design projects.
* Prepares routine design computations and applies basic architectural fundamentals.
* Performs design of aspects of minor routine projects under direction of Project Architect, or responsible staff member.
* Understands and utilizes architectural technical terminology.
* Assists in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and permits for projects.
* May supervise daily tasks of junior staff.
* Provides advice, guidance and mentoring for Drafting and Designer I level staff.
* Provides technical support to other staff.
* Proficient in AutoCad and Revit.
* Ability to produce drawings in three dimension.
* Produces drawings and designs utilizing vendor's and manufacturer's catalog and technical data.
* Responsible for job specific standards, practices and quality as defined by operational standards.
* Perform site/field investigations to collect data for designs, reports, cost estimates and inspections.
* Research discipline-related code issues and present interpretation.
* Assist project team in checking of work prepared by others utilizing Navisworks, BIM 360, or similar 3D format.
* Provide coordination of all applicable project discipline's drawings and specifications.
* Promote communications, cooperation and quality among discipline and team members.

* Setup BIM projects from company templates
* Provide discipline specific technical management of project BIM data
* Support BIM project teams while enforcing "modeling best practices"
* Exporting Data for use by other disciplines and/or firms (AutoCAD backgrounds, Navisworks exports, etc...)
* Navisworks Clash Detection/Model Coordination

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* High school/GED diploma and 6 years experience
* Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 4 year's related experience
* Bachelor's degree and 3 years experience
* Advanced in Autocad, Revit, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Windows.
* Possess an aptitude and exhibit skills for graphics, CAD and Architectural support.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* The work is semi-sedentary work and requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
* Manual dexterity, hearing, mental acuity, typing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
* Ability to navigate and move around the construction site, which may involve walking, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods on uneven surfaces.
* Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
* Ability to stand and sit for periods longer than 30 minutes but not to exceed two hours consecutively.
* Ability to control behavior when encountering stressful situations or short deadlines and to maintain a high level of concentration.
* Ability to print and draw letters, numbers, words, characters, and symbols that are legible and understood by others.
* Ability to learn complex tasks and remember how to complete tasks without assistance once trained.
