Under direct supervision, designs digital learning solutions for web sites, and interactive media including digital media such as video, audio, graphics, and animations. Consults with management and subject matter experts to manage the digital user experience and interfaces that support project needs.
The Lead International Case Coordinator will:
- Assists with oversight of the international patient intake process and ensures caseloads are assigned accordingly. Responsible for accuracy of capturing international patient registration for all patient types, and team attention to reportable data points in EPIC.
- Collaborates with patient families, Payors, and International Financial Counselors (IFC) to ensure accurate coverage throughout the care episode.
- Assists with the efforts of GMS and the Patient Care Team in the development of the plan of care and support obtaining payer approval. Expedites all clinical scheduling and follow-up on all referral request according to approvals.
- Works with case management teams to ensure safe and timely delivery of medications, equipment, and supplies to patients.
- Commercial Payor: (Obtaining CPT Codes from the clinical team and sharing them with IFC to obtain the necessary approvals)
- Embassy Payor: working with the IMS team to develop a Plan of Care (before arrival) & Updated Treatment Plan (while in Boston).
- Working closely with the embassy advisors to update them about the ongoing treatment of their patients and make sure to obtain approvals for the necessary referrals
- Working with clinical team to obtain a complete plan of care including all CPT Codes and share it with IFC so an estimate can be obtained and shared with the clinical team for final approval.
- Carries a patient care coordination caseload, working with patient families to assess needs, answer questions, and provide educational support.
- Works with the management team on identifying alternatives to existing job tasks or processes and propose initiatives for improvement.
- Monitor the departmental dashboard and define factors that could adversely affect patient care coordination, patient financial responsibility, or quality of patient satisfaction.
- Assists to train new hires. Identifies functional training needs and plans and assists in developing, delivering, and training.
- Assists in determining caseload priorities and determining resource requirements.
- Responsible for promptly disseminating pertinent information that would impact patient care. Ensure quality communication and dialogue between International Patients, External Patient Contact, Peers, IFC and Supervisors.
- Supports department initiatives through the performance and facilitation of project activities.
- Utilizes EPIC, Smartsheet, and SharePoint tracking (and other technology as defined) for inter-department communications and communications with Embassies and Payors. Assists to support optimization of individual performance. Completes and maintains accurate and accessible electronic documentation as required by the department in accordance with hospital standards promptly.
To qualify, you must have:
- Bachelors Degree is required
- 5-7 years experience working in health care, customer or language services, hospitality, International life experience and experience serving an international clientele in a work environment is required
