RN - Pre-op/PACU - Mercy SD

Description

This is a Full Time, benefitted 12 hour varied mid/evening shift at our Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. The role is as a RN in PreOp - PACU but you will mostly work in PACU. The shift is 1000-2230 or 0900-2130. There is weekend and on call requirement.

As an RN in the Pre-Op/PACU you will be responsible for:



  • pre-anesthesia preparation and observation and maintenance during the procedure
  • monitoring and caring for patients are they are coming out of sedation after surgery.

Qualifications

Required:



  • One (1) year of recent RN experience in an acute care setting within PreOp PACU or ICU
  • California Registered Nurse License
  • Current BLS, ACLS from American Heart Association certifications
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.


Preferred:



  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Telemetry experience
  • 2 + years of PACU experience
