Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing Level 2 support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of desktop environments, and resolving technical issues efficiently. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 technical support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems, including operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems and software.
- Respond to and manage support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and documentation of issues.
- Collaborate with Level 1 support and other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups as needed.
- Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices and IT policies.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives to improve overall IT infrastructure and services.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are a plus.
Estimated Min Rate: $14.70
Estimated Max Rate: $21.00
