Cabinet Door Specialist

Auburn Ridge, a leader in providing high-quality cabinetry and millwork solutions, is seeking a Cabinet Door Specialist to join our production team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for organizing, processing, and preparing cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and drawer boxes to meet project specifications. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in craftsmanship, organization, and teamwork.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Organization & Staging:

    • Organize and stage doors, drawer fronts, and drawer boxes for processing.
    • Ensure all components are accurately labeled and matched to job specifications.
  2. Material Matching:

    • Match grain, profiles, and species to align with project requirements and design intent.
    • Verify consistency across all components to maintain visual and quality standards.
  3. Machine Operation:

    • Operate door processing machinery, including the finger router, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
    • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic issues to minimize downtime.
  4. Receiving & Quality Checks:

    • Receive and check in skids from Walz-Craft, verifying materials and quality against purchase orders.
    • Address any discrepancies and communicate with leadership and vendors as needed.
  5. Equipment & Workspace Maintenance:

    • Maintain all equipment related to door processing, ensuring it's clean, calibrated, and fully operational.
    • Manage recycling of cardboard and pallets to keep workspaces organized and efficient.
  6. Staging & Coordination:

    • Stage finished doors and drawer boxes on carts for hardware installation.
    • Ensure all pieces are accounted for, properly handled, and ready for the next stage in production.
  7. Sanding & Final Preparation:

    • Sand and stage doors after processing to prepare them for finishing.
    • Inspect for defects and ensure doors meet quality standards before moving to the next phase.
Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a cabinet shop, millwork facility, or similar production environment is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to match wood species, grain, and profiles accurately.
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials, work on your feet, and operate tools and machinery safely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
