Position Description

Seeking a candidate to be part of our receiving dock team that is highly energetic & believes in safety first. The main responsibility of a receiving dock employee is greeting and interacting with delivery personnel, ensuring packages are acknowledged and delivered to the appropriate internal location. Individual must have a positive attitude and be able to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for greeting and interacting with various delivery drivers
• Complete & verify deliveries for accuracy to match BOL (Bill of Lading)
• Maintain accurate levels of supplies and manage Kanbans where required.
• Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
• Support the effective communication with internal partners, specifically purchasing, logistics, and material handling regarding issues or concerns.
• Participate in semi-annual inventory.
• Individual must have stamina as this position may requires long hours, weekends and holidays during peak times.
• Standing, bending, carrying and lifting 35 lbs. consistently.
• Ensure all individuals on receiving dock wear required PPE and comply with all safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized dock environment free of any debris to prevent safety hazards.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of related experience
• Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead hoists and basic hand tools, preferred
• Experience with high dock volume, warehouse, construction or crating, preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel desired

Compensation Details

Hourly: $16-$21

Additional Compensation

Hourly Rate for this position will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus through the company bonus program. This position may also be eligible to receive a Relocation bonus, payable as a taxable lump sum, in accordance with the Sundyne Relocation Policy.
